Arts Break XII to Host the Best of PJ’s Artists & Performers!!

 

Artist Applications Now Being Accepted!

BRANTFORD (April 19, 2018): The students of Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School’s Media Arts SHSM Program are proud to announce the twelfth annual Arts Break event; a multidisciplinary arts showcase that celebrates the artistic talents of PJ. The event will be held from 12-2:45PM on Thursday May 10th in the Media Arts Studio (Room 223) of Pauline Johnson Collegiate Vocational School.

 

Arts Break XII will feature musical performances, visual art displays, textile design, dramatic arts, poetry readings, artistic workshops, culinary arts and other activities. All PJ students are invited to participate as artists or performers. Arts Break XII will be accepting artist applications up until 3 PM on Friday May 4th, 2018. Applications are available at www.fetedefolk.com. Interested PJ artists can also see Mr. Gauthier in room 223 for more information.

 

Arts Break will be run over 3 sessions – 12:15-12:45PM, 12:50-1:20PM and 1:40-2:15PM. Teachers wishing to bring classes to Arts Break can simply RSVP Mr. Gauthier via email along with their requested number of students attending.

 

Fete De Folk and Arts Break were established in 2012 by PJ’s SHSM Media Arts Students. Past performers include MUCH MUSIC Beatbox Champion; Hachey the MouthPEACE, songwriter John Ellison (She’s Some Kind of Wonderful), Multiple HMA Winner and Juno Nominee; Harrison Kennedy, Missy Bauman (BCI) and PJ’s Talia Rosseel, Under Pressure (NPC), Taylor Hubbard (BCI), Kaylin Parker & Karly Van Every(PJCVS) and DJ’s Tyler Freeman(PJCVS) & Adam Lavender(PJCVS).
